I'm back from the cruise/mini/major vacation. I had a fantasic time, indeed. But the thing is that it's hard to describe to anyone how awesome a time it was without them actually being there to experience it with me. Seriously. I could try to tell you all the little bits that made the vacation as a whole rock my friggen face off... but it wouldn't be enough. Vegas was rad. Windy, but rad. The Beatles "LOVE" at the Mirage was mind blowing. I saw Dr. Drew but was too chicken to go up and say anything to him. I walked the strip with a massive adult beverage and took in all of the sights and sounds and enjoyed being alive. That's what it's all about, right? LA was alright, but it wasn't my favorite. We went on a tour (Dearly Departed Tour of LA ... google it) which was creepy and awesome all at the same time. That's pretty much all we did while in LA besides wash laundry and hang out at the hotel before the cruise. We didn't have much time to do anything else. Boarding the ship was a BREEZE compared to last year. We carried all of our luggage on so we wouldn't have to wait around for our bags. Our cabin steward, Franklin, was a riot. I miss him. One Splendid Evening. No words, just emotions (and photographs and autographs!). You can do a google search for red carpet interviews and such from the event. The artists were so nice. All but one artist (Jordin Sparks) signed a large photo mat that I brought with me. And then ... John Mayer. I had planned to give him one of my photos from last years cruise of him in the thong. He had other intentions. After assuring me that he didn't think I was a douchebag, which I asked him, he snagged the Sharpie out of my Mom's hands and asked what my name was. A few pictures, a hug, and some signed photos later... I was/am an extremely happy girl. That's all I have to say about that.
The cruise was, as it was last year, fantastical. The only downfall was the crazy rocking of the ship, but there was nothing that could be done about that. Sun and beverages and live music and fun people was just what this girl needed.
