I'm really not a big Kanye fan, but I am a fan of my Momma. Happy Birthday Mom!!!!! Twenty seven days until Mayer :)

i heart ikea.

I spent a good 3 hours just walking around Ikea today with Mom. Good stuff. I'm plotting and planning and making mental notes. It reminded me of the Sims. Does anyone even play that anymore? My houses were always the coolest. I picked up a 3 drawer dresser (on sale for half off!). We got some other odds and ends and I will definitely be going back there when/if I ever move out, haha.

The last week has been pretty good. I spent my birthday with Mr. Chase doing a whole lot of nothing and enjoying every minute of it. We started watching Flight of the Conchords Season One that he got me for my bday and laughed a lot. Ate yummy calzone. Didn't share blue cheeses. That's how we roll.

I went to Jason Mraz at URI last week and it was fantastic. I love that man. Everyone singing along to "I'm Yours" gave me goosebumps. Oh, and "Peg" by Steely Dan?! Love it.

On Valentine's Day I went to see Brett Dennen with Melissa and Bobio and Shawn. Good stuff. We didn't have time to wait for a table at Chili's so we enjoyed a super(!) romantic dinner at the BK Lounge. Yes, I'm serious. We arrived at our destination after driving up and down the street trying to find a place to park. P DOES stand for parking, not police. I'm just saying :) I drank a whole lot of beers and laughed and was silly and had a good time.

That about sums up my week. I started my photo of the day shizzz again on my birthday after skipping a few days in January. Ten days later and I'm still going strong haha. I'll upload them someday.

My afghan is more than halfway done, which is amazing. I'm getting there.

Dude. I remember being about 14 and hearing this song and thinking "Twenty-three is so far away." Yeah, not so much.

So in honor of my birthday, here's 23 {random} facts about me!

1. I only wear Old Navy Sweetheart jeans. They're the best.
2. I love Zac Hanson, Michael Cera, Michael C. Hall, and Nick Hexum. Love.
3. I don't think I could drink black coffee. And I'm not a huge fan of tea.
4. I've been making out with the same boy for the last eight years. He's alright ;)
5. If I'm wearing a hoodie, you could probably bet money that I'm not wearing a shirt underneath it.
6. I have an idea of what I'd like for my next tattoo and I've only told two people, one being my Mom.
7. I eat soup almost everyday.
8. My toenails are painted hot pink right now.
9. I never sleep on my stomach or my back. I also can't fall asleep if I'm wearing socks.
10. I've had multiple piercings in my left ear and had to take them out because they never heal. It makes me sad because I really liked them. I think I sleep on that side too much? I don't really know.
11. I buy a shirt at almost every concert I go to. I plan on turning all of the old ones that don't fit/I don't wear anymore into a quilt. Someday.
12. Even though I always say "This is the best day ever!" I can pinpoint, down to the exact time, the best day/experience I've ever had. February 3, 2008. 1pm-3ish. Hands down.
13. Our dog got hit by a car and died on the day of my christening.
14. I have a drum head that SA of 311 frisbee'd into the audience at a show in Providence.
15. I cry like a freakin' baby as soon as Bleaker takes his sweatband off and lays down beside Juno in the hospital bed at the end of the movie "Juno". A freakin' baby, I tell you. Every.single.time.I.watch.the.movie.
16. I spackled, sanded, primed, and painted my room all by myself and I'm damn proud of it. I also removed the woodwork and painted that AND assembled my furniture all by my lonesome. It's pretty much the most fantastic room in the house.
17. I'm not a fan of odd numbers.
18. I thoroughly enjoy doing laundry.
19. Chicken is my favorite food.
20. I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The only candy better than regular Reese's PB Cups is the holiday versions of them like the trees for Christmas or hearts for Valentine's Day. I always get them for Shawn, and then eat them myself haha.
21. I can't draw to save my life.
22. I play Keno when I go to the mall.
23. I actually like my license photo.

I'm pretty excited for a laid back day. I'm going to breakfast with my Dad and then to Rhode Island to do some tank inspections. I'll probably work on my afghan a bit. Do some homework. I'm going to Mr. Chase's for dinner and some beverages and a movie. My Mom's working so we're celebrating as a family on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to cake made from scratch and birthday dinner. WooT!
